Stationery Product Review

I've just received my lovely new letter headed paper and compliment slips from Fast Print - can't wait to use them! Ordering was really easy and they featured a detailed pdf on their website with advice on how to avoid any pitfalls if you're designing them yourself in Photoshop, which I was. Being a UK based business they arrived in no time at all so I'm very pleased with both the speed and the quality.

George's Winter Portrait Session in North Yorkshire...

It may have been nearly winter but it was far from cold for George's portrait session in the gorgeous Wykeham Forest in my native North Yorkshire. I think I forget sometimes, living in a city, how peaceful it can be in the middle of the countryside - you could literally hear a car approaching from a mile away. There was an initial panic when I met George's mum and dad, Sarah and Robin, as an eerie fog had set in at our chosen spot, but I knew from previous experience that we could use it to our advantage and I just love the ethereal quality it's added to the photos. And George was a little star xx.

Contemporary Shelving Commercial Product Shoot...

I recently went to shoot a beautiful set of contemporary shelves by David John Designs of Liverpool. The 'Ghiaccio' shelf is constructed from 25mm clear cast acrylic and stainless steel and looks stunning in a modern setting. What struck me especially was the way the light fell through the shelves, creating long shadows across the wall. Please get in touch with me via my contact page for David's details. 

Albie's Family Portrait Session...

I can't help but smile when I look at these pictures of 18 month-old Albie taken in Liverpool last autumn, and a couple made me laugh out loud when I came to edit them - I think his laughter must be contagious! His mum Julie said that he's a real thinker and can be quite serious so we worked really hard to get him to relax and enjoy himself. Love the results!! xx.

William's Family Shoot in Sefton Park...

I don't think for a second during this lovely family session last autumn did 18 month-old William stop smiling - such a gorgeous little boy and such fun to shoot. x

A Winter Anniversary Shoot...

When Ria and Curt asked me to take some photographs to celebrate their ten year anniversary I couldn't have been more happy to oblige. Autumn was a distant memory, hardly a leaf left on the trees but as I was taking the first few pictures I saw silhouetted in the distance this bench and, next to it, a perfectly Victorian lantern and I knew I had my photo.
