It's Definitely Autumn!

I'm not sure why it's always so windy in September but my theory is it's to get the leaves off the trees. Having said that, the leaves are still green when they're normally brown by now so I have no idea what's going on this year! Anyway, this weekend's photo session was a real autumn affair involving hats, gloves, scarves and ear muffs and the girls had such a great time dressing up. I was also caught on camera photographing the session by the girls dad Rob so I will post a few of the pictures soon. In the meantime I will be posting more of the pictures from this session in my portrait gallery. Thanks girls for a lovely day! Enjoy xx

Esquires Coffee Houses - now open in Southport!

I was invited to take photographs for the launch of Esquires Coffee House on Lord Street in Southport last week and what a lovely coffee house it is! Formerly a bank, you can sit underneath its impressive arched ceiling while looking at pictures of Southport from days gone by or you can find a cosy corner at the front of the shop and watch the world go by the window. Children have their own special play room at the back of the shop too. I should mention, if you're not a coffee drinker like me then they do lots of different flavoured teas. Big thumbs up!

Sk:n Clinic Opening in Liverpool

I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Liz McClarnon for the launch of the Sk:n clinic on Bold Street in Liverpool last night. How she managed to arrive looking so glam in this weather I will never know! I know I didn't.  Have a look at Liz's website to see more of my pictures.

Dan and Lydia's Wedding - A Sneak Preview

Suits of armour, swords and mounted deer heads, not your typical wedding venue but Heskin Hall in Lancashire is full of great surprises. Every wall is adorned with objects of interest and made for a great backdrop at Dan and Lydia's wedding at the weekend. Although I've been a professional photographer for years, I'd never actually photographed a wedding before- mainly due to Saturday work commitments, but former work colleague Paul persuaded me to photograph his brother dan's wedding and I thought I'd give it a go and I had a great day!

Double trouble!

Babies and freshly mown grass almost never go well together and especially twins and freshly mown grass! There was grass in their nappies, grass round their mouths, grass everywhere! This didn't stop me getting some lovely pictures of 6mth old beautiful little girls from Widnes, in between the crying (not me). After a short nap (not me, again), we were ready to go once more, this time getting some great shots in the house and a few more outside before it was teatime. Lovely to meet you and the girls V & G - see you shortly with the finished products!
