The Furber Family Photo Session...

We had a super sunny day for the Furber family's photo session after a dismal weekend of wet weather where we had to postpone the session until a nicer day. I don't live a million miles from Wigan, where the session was held, but until this day I had never been before in my life. I was working later that afternoon for the Liverpool Echo and lo and behold...where did they send me but all the way back to Wigan! I mean really, what are the odds? Anyway, thank you to the family for a lovely morning and to the dogs for being so well behaved. xx

The Diamond Family Photo session in Liverpool...

Blue skies, hmm, yes, I remember those days back in April where the sun seemed to shine a lot more than it seems to at the moment. We had a glorious sunny afternoon for the Diamond family portrait and entertainment was provided by toddler Nate. A truly lovely family photo session! xxx

The Shazan Family Portrait Shoot in Preston...

I just adore these pictures taken at a family portrait shoot in Preston, Lancashire, for the very lovely Shazan family. I always enjoy photographing in new locations and the family had picked out a beautiful park on the outskirts of town which had a Parisian-style tree lined walkway leading into it, surrounded by grand Victorian houses and old-style gas lamps. It was my idea of the perfect shooting location so I really hope that I'll have a chance to shoot there again.

New York Comes to Liverpool...

Best props on a photo shoot ever goes to New York Bakery Company! The sun was shining and kids and adults flocked to Wall Street in Liverpool ONE today which had been transformed into a mini version of New York's world famous financial district. Brill!

Product Spotlight: The Classic Frame...

I love seeing photographs displayed in beautiful frames and my 'Classic' frame below is one of my absolute favourites. The picture of Carmen below, from a shoot last August, is printed on fine art paper and framed with an antique silver moulding and the picture of Fin further down is printed on photographic paper and framed with a bronze/gold moulding. This frame is available in five gorgeous colour variations.

Four Generations of One Family...

I went back down to Dorset at the end of Autumn last year to photograph four generations of the same family at the family home. I absolutely loved this shoot and I'm pretty sure everyone had fun too. The weather was a bit unpredictable and we kept having to dash indoors while it poured down, but the light was beautiful and the dark clouds added a touch of drama to the pictures. Looking through these photographs again makes me realise just how important it is to have proper family photographs to keep forever and pass down through the generations and I'm determined that one day I'm going to round up my entire family, from all corners of the country, and get some just like these!
